Is the data provided and uploaded to the Chatbot Knowledge Base kept confidential?

Absolutely. AskBobster is built on strong privacy principles, ensuring that any information uploaded to a bot remains within that bot's environment, not shared with other bots, even those in the same account.

It's also important to note that your data will not be incorporated into OpenAI/Google Cloud AI/Anthropic training sets.

Is data private and will not be used to train the public versions of ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude?

Yes, the source data loaded into AskBobster remains entirely private. Furthermore, OpenAI, Google Cloud AI and Anthropic have clarified that they do not use data from API calls for training their models.

Does data end up on OpenAI, Google Cloud AI, Anthropic servers and contribute to ChatGPT's, Gemini and Claude’s learning?

No, any data you interact with on AskBobster is not used to enhance the learning of ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude. It's confined to your specific bot, ensuring your content remains local and private.

How does AskBobster handle data privacy? Is our business data safe?

AskBobster prioritises data privacy. We ensure that your business data stays safe by storing it in isolated environments per bot and not using it for any other purposes, including model training. You can find more about our data privacy policy here.

What data is automatically collected from the user?

With regards to data collection, AskBobster collects minimal user data required for service operation and improvement, in compliance with privacy laws and regulations. Detailed information can be found in our privacy policy here.

I’ve heard of this privacy incident with Samsung. Do I need to be worried?

All data uploaded to a bot stays within that silo. It is not even shared with other bots in the same account.

Also, OpenAI has now clarified that they do not use data from API calls in their training (aka: the infamous Samsung issue!).

Where does AskBobster store and process data?

The AskBobster platform is hosted with AWS (Amazon Web Services).

AWS are ISO 27001 certified. This is the highest level of global information security assurance today, and provides customers assurance that AWS meets stringent international security standards. ISO 27001 Certificate.

As of October 2023, AWS are compliant with the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. This means businesses in the UK can transfer personal data to US organisations certified to the “UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (UK Extension) under Article 45 of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) without the need for further safeguards such as those set out in Articles 46 and 49 of the UK GDPR - The EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) is a bespoke, opt-in certification scheme for US organisations, enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Department of Transportation (DoT), and administered by the Department of Commerce (DoC). As of June 2023, AWS are compliant with the Cloud Infrastructure Services Providers in Europe (CISPE) Data Protection Code of Conduct. CISPE is a coalition of cloud computing leaders serving millions of customers in the UK and Europe.

How can we be assured our business data will be protected and there are no data breaches?

We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organisational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorised third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information is impossible for us to gurantee . You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

Does AskBobster support the GDPR?

AskBobster supports the GDPR principles by having policies in place that protect your privacy and data rights.

How does AskBobster comply with the GDPR?

AskBobster complies with the GDPR by getting user consent for data collection, protecting user data, allowing users to access or delete their data, notifying users of data breaches, and ensuring third-party vendors also follow GDPR rules.

How does AskBobster handle breach management?
